Weekly Photography Assignments

So I've joined this website that offers Digital Photography Classes online.

It wasn't expensive to join. I am following their lessons. They have weekly assignments that you can do, and post it on their forum to be critiqued by others.

One of the assignments was to take a picture of a water droplet. I really did not like the one I had posted for the assignment. Tonight I decided to try and take another one. I am pleased with the outcome.

I converted the picture to black and white. It just gives it a better look. I'm not sure yet if the picture is too dark. Still learning all that stuff.

Why Photography? Why Now?

For starters, I've always enjoyed taking pictures. It wasn't a real hobby I pursued till now.

My wonderful husband got me my first SLR Camera for christmas. A Canon Rebel EOS Tl1, a good new starter SLR Camera. For longest while I've been using my 10 Megapixel FujiFilm point and click camera. It was a good camera and did take and still does take nice pictures. It sure took some nice shots of my precious little boys

Since I got the new SLR Camera, I am trying to learn alot of the details with the camera as well as all the technical aspects in photography.

I'm a graphic designer by profession and have enjoyed it so far. I'm just ready also to try my hand at something different or make this a new hobby. It feels good to be interested in something new again!
